Now live: Data from the 2025 ENCJ Survey among Judges on the Independence of the Judiciary!
The Judiciary Hub now features the latest data from the European Network of Councils for the Judiciary’s (ENCJ) Survey among judges on the independence of the judiciary.
Since 2015, the ENCJ has conducted a triennial survey of judges across Europe on judicial independence. Some of the topics addressed include judges’ perceptions of their own independence and that of their peers, experiences of external pressure, relations between the judiciary and the other branches of government, the implementation of court decisions in practice, and the role of the media. The 2025 edition gathered responses from 19,136 judges across 30 countries.
